Saskatchewan Cowboy Dressage Awards Program

Our unique awards program allows members to progress at their own speed and mark milestone achievements as they happen. Saskatchewan Cowboy Dressage Awards consist of two categories; Division Awards and Versatility Awards.

The Awards Program was revamped in December of 2022, and shall be implemented in 2023

DIVISION AWARDS

VERSATILITY AWARDS

SCORES

Your scores are automatically registered for the Sk Awards program, and you are encouraged to periodically ask for updated SK CD Awards Tracker to be emailed to you. It is the responsibility of the rider to check accuracy of the stats, as human error is always a factor. Simply report any discrepancies to SKCD awards member. The SK CD Awards Tracker held by Sk Awards will always be used as the official stats, and we are very interested in accuracy.

Our tracking system evolves with added tests, added Divisions and improved technology. Please contact SkCD Awards Program to get your horse’s SK CD Awards Tracker form.

GUIDELINES

Score sheets must be official score sheets from Cowboy Dressage Gatherings and signed by Cowboy Dressage Recommended judges.

Score sheets may be used towards more than one award. For example, if you scored 81% on Walk Jog Test 1 on July 2, 2022, you can use that score to fulfill the requirements of the bronze, silver and gold Walk Jog Division Awards and Walk Jog Test 1 can no longer be used for future Walk Jog Division awards.

Awards are based on the horse, not the rider. A rider with more than one horse can receive awards for each horse.

If the horse is ridden by more than one rider, a second set of stats may be kept for that rider/horse team if the owner requests it specifically of an awards administrator. An example of this could be a child riding a parents’ horse. The child/horse can qualify for our Sk Awards program.

If a horse is sold, or ridden by more than one person, it is the responsibility of the owner to ensure the show stats are applied appropriately.

If a horse in our Awards Program is sold it is up the the purchaser to determine if they wish to continue with the existing stats or start fresh with their own set of stats.

Score sheets for rides that happened outside Saskatchewan can be submitted for awards. Riders must be Cowboy Dressage Saskatchewan members in good standing at the time of each of tests for which score sheets are submitted.

Riders who have previously competed in Cowboy Dressage outside of Saskatchewan and who were not members at the time of a ride for which a test is submitted, a transfer fee of $30 for each calendar year for which score sheets are submitted will be used in lieu of a membership for that year. (For example, if you moved to Saskatchewan and became a member of Cowboy Dressage Saskatchewan in 2022, but want to submit score sheets from US shows in 2020 and  2021, you can pay a $60 administration fee in lieu of memberships for those years).

Riders are ultimately responsible for their own stats, bring any discrepancies to the attention of Sask Cowboy Dressage Awards Program.
